How to make whipped cream

  Difficulty Rating: One Star

Ingredients:

1 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract or vanilla sugar

Directions:

Whip the cream until it is no longer liquid. This is done most easily with an electric mixer but a whisk and some elbow grease get the job done, too.

Add the sugar and the vanilla and beat the cream until it forms peaks.

Now you can enjoy it on your ice cream, on your pie or any other dessert.

Here's a great tip for hot, muggy days when cream may not want to cooperate: it will still come out perfect when you place the bowl (ideally it should be a narrow container made of metal) and the attachments of the electric mixer in the freezer for about 1/2 hour. Take it out when you have the ingredients ready to go, and you'll be able to impress your friends with perfect whipped cream even on the hottest summer days!

Difficulty: Easy
Prep Time: no prep necessary
Yields: yummy desserts
