Fun German Hamburger Variations (Spaßburger-Hamburger)

Hamburger Variations

Ingredients:

This is what you need for 3 different hamburger variations:

1 pork schnitzel (about 3.5 oz)
2 sesame buns
1 hamburger bun
Liver loaf (3.5 oz)
1/4 red bell pepper in strips
4 chives
1 teaspoon roasted sunflower seeds
2 teaspoon ketchup
3 lettuce leaves
2 tomatoes
2 gherkins
3.5 oz. ground beef
1 small egg
1 tablespoon oats 1/2 onion, finely chopped
Salt, pepper
2 tablespoon rapeseed oil

Preparation:

And this is how you get ready:

1. Wash the lettuce leaves and pat them dry.
2. Clean the tomatoes and cut them into slices.
3. Cut the pickles lengthwise into slices.
And this is how you make it:

1. In a bowl combine the ground beef, egg, oats, onion, salt and pepper. Moisten your fingers and shape the mixture into flat patties.
2. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a sauté pan and brown the patty about 3 minutes per side over medium heat. 3. Season the pork schnitzel with salt and pepper.
4. Heat the remaining oil in a pan. Over medium heat brown the Schnitzel for about 3 minutes per side, the liver loaf for about 2 minutes.
5. Slice the three buns open. Arrange the lettuce and pickles on the bottom halves.
6. On one of the halves place the slice of liver loaf, the pork schnitzel on the other and the beef patty on the third bun.
7. Add tomato slices to all three burgers and sprinkle with sunflower seeds
8. Season with ketchup and finish the burgers with the tops of the buns.
